The Thermique™ thermal condenser gets hot only while it’s in the canal. You don’t have to repeatedly heat your instrument in an open flame, so an apprehensive patient never glimpses the red-hot condenser flashing by his face. The proportional feedback system maintains a precise temperature (+ 15°C) at a precise depth within the canal for predictable gutta-percha flow and minimal generation of smoke and fumes. Here’s how it works Simply select the condenser tip that corresponds to the canal size and set the stop 5-7mm short of the apex. After cementing the master cone and placing one or two accessory cones, insert the condenser to the indicated depth, and depress the finger control for 2-3 seconds. The tip instantly heats to the pre-selected temperature, causing the gutta-percha to flow against the sidewalls, and into lateral canals. The combination of heat and pressure fuses the cones into a single, dense mass. When you release finger-pressure, the condenser cools as fast as it heated. As soon as you remove it, you’re ready to backfill. Enough power for your busiest day The Thermique gives you massive battery capacity (3 amp hours), so you can work a full day without recharging. Before you go home, just plug it in. It’ll fully recharge before you arrive the next morning. A warning light tells you when battery voltage is getting low. If you ignore this warning and keep working, the device will automatically shut itself off when power gets too low to maintain the selected temperature.
