Panoramic Unit

The Rotograph is a microprocessor-controlled panoramic X-ray machine with a kV range of 60-85, and 10mA. Through a .5mm x .5mm focal spot, this unit delivers consistent films in panoramic, sinus, TMJ and cephalometric functions. Rotograph compensates for the spinal column thanks to the rotation speed modulation in conjunction with rotation angle.

This machine can either be wall or floor mounted, has a rigid cassette, digital display and a detachable hand control. The cross-hair positioning lights also create an optimally positioned patient by lighting the mid-sagittal and Frankfurt-horizontal.

The panoramic examination has an optimized trajectory and automatic column compensation. The anatomical controls on the controller offer the options between a 17 second exposure for adults, and a 14 second exposure for children.

The TMJ examination enables a dynamic study of the opened and closed temporo-mandibular joints. Adults receive a 10.4 second exposure, while children experience a 9.4 second exposure time.

The cephalometric examination is exposed onto an 8” x 10” cassette. The asymmetric diaphragm with L-L projection and a soft tissue filter come standard with the cephalometric option. 2 year warranty

APPLICATIONS

With Rotograph Plus you can perform the most frequent exams in the dental practice, such as panoramic, both with adult and child reduced dose programs, temporo-mandibular joint with open and closed mouth and the maxillary sinus. The panoramic exam employs an optimized trajectory and a wide focal layer to exactly follow the shape of the arch and ensure high quality images with every patient. The Rotograph Plus version can be equipped with a cephalometric arm that can be retrofitted in field at any time, to expand applications to the orthodontic field.

PATIENT POSITIONING

Correct patient positioning is the key factor for good panoramic radiography. The perfect centering of the patient is obtained with a three point support system: i.e. chin support, bite block and temple clamps. The alignment is ensured by the crosshair positioning light that allows to precisely indicate the sagittal and Frankfurt planes.

EASE OF USE

Functions are selected on a compact hand-held remote-control, showing all pertinent information in clear text messages. Setting of the exposure parameters can be done in manual mode or with preset anatomic programs according to patient size and morphology.

ROTOGRAPH ST

Rotograph Plus is also available as an “ST” version that provides the best possible price/performance ratio when only the panoramic exam is required. This version is not equipped for the TMJ and ceph exams and cannot be modified.

SHARP IMAGES

Rotograph Plus provides for features that guarantee the maximum diagnostic content for every routine application in dental panoramic imaging. The X-ray tube with small size focal spot ensures high image quality, in particular for the definition of fine details. The modulation of the cassette movement speed eliminates artifacts due to the cervical spine shadow. The automatic mains voltage compensation ensures a correct and constant darkening of the film.
